We invite immunologists worldwide (individual scientists and institutes) to submit their ideas and initiatives for DoI 2009 under this year’s headline “Immunologists and the Public – Linking Science and Health”. The main goal of the activities should be to effectively bring current “hot topics” in immunology to the public (layperson, media, patient, etc.).

Submissions will be selected by a jury composed of members of the EFIS Board. All decisions are final. The jury is exempt from legal liability.

There will be cash awards and 1-year print subscriptions for different journals; on top of that, each winner will be invited to attend the European Congress of Immunology in Berlin (ECI 2009)! Winners and their concepts will be introduced during the award ceremony at ECI 2009. If you apply as an institute, you will be asked to send one representative to receive the award.

Deadline for submission is June 15, 2009.

Winners will be notified until July 15, 2009. Please send your proposals (must be prepared in English language) to:
